Design Chameleon: Lucite

Cleeeeaarly (ha!) I've been slacking on posting, but I hope to make up to it with some lovely Lucite images, continuing the theme of my last post of design elements that make themselves at home in any environs. Today's element: Lucite.

Below we have the Formal Living Room Lucite. With a slight blue tinge, this table fits in nicely with the rest of the decor, and its lack of visual weight helps continue the bright, open, airy feel of the space.

Not one to be pigeon-holed, however, the Formal Living Room Lucite table also easily converts to Hollywood Regency Lucite when the time calls for it. The table holds its own in this glam room.

Next we have Eclectic Mod Lucite. In a globe chair version, this Lucite adds a Jetsons-esque flair to this room.
Never fear, however, Lucite doesn't always have to be the center of attention. Here it demurely poses as an umbrella stand.

And last but not least, we have Funky Artistic Lucite. In this space, the table becomes a pedestal for the collection of interesting, artsy pieces the owner has chosen to display.

You see? Lucite makes itself at home in a variety of design schemes.
